A Greek media among the European innovation pioneers

EMTech’s Intelligent Power Networks provides a product distribution substation automation line called iReact, which aims at intelligent capacitor bank management, OLTC position detection and extensive measurement downloading. Recently, our product range has been boosted by a state-of-the-art DERMS called Prognosis to address the upcoming challenges in distribution networks and emerging micro-networks.
Our innovation has been recognized by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pilot Program now housing the Horizon 2020 SME Facility and as sponsors, we benefit from a range of business support services to promote our business proposition to the relevant stakeholders.
On May 9, we had the opportunity to present our innovation at Iberdrola Business Day, among 15 companies. Mr. Nikolaos-Antonios Livanos – Chief Executive Officer, also had the opportunity to have informal talks, to be aware of Iberdrola’s current challenges, to consolidate business opportunities and also to take part in the business day meeting last day.

In addition, EMTECH was selected along with 13 other companies from SME Outreach (OTF) program to participate in the European Commission’s first European African Utility Week 2018 on May 15-17 in Cape Town. African Utility Week is the leading exhibition and conference for professionals in all energy and water sectors in the African market, including decision-makers in high positions, entrepreneurs, investors and the most active media on the continent.

EMTECH was represented by Mr. Nicholas-Antonios Lebanon and Mr. Georgios Stravopodis – responsible for the iReact product line. The team received pre-departure training, dedicated networking opportunities, and participated in thematically focused presentations and predefined meetings. The European Pavilion received distinguished guests, such as the EU Ambassador to South Africa Dr. Marcus Cornaro, and our company received the warm welcome of the Greek Consul in Cape Town, Mr. Thomas Matsukas.
