The suitable candidate will have to demonstrate the ability to develop mobile edge computing and artificial intelligence (edge AI) applications as well as the ability to realize innovative ideas as proof-of-concept implementations. Loctio is a deep-tech startup whose mission is to democratize IoT location-based services by catering positioning capabilities to billions of devices constrained by limited processing and power resources. Loctio aims at offering accurate, secure, trusted and ubiquitous low power positioning for both outdoor and indoor challenging environments. This is achieved by means of a breakthrough Cloud/Edge processing technology that combines signals from GNSS satellites (GPS, Galileo, Beidou,…) with LEO satellites and 5G signals. Loctio is backed by venture capital (VC) and by the European Space Agency (ESA) through the Greek Business Incubation Center (BIC).

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Loctio is seeking an experienced digital signal processing (DSP) engineer to join the team that is currently responsible for the development of the company core Cloud/Edge positioning algorithms. The candidate will be working side-by-side with talented and subject-matter experts, developing cutting-edge software algorithms for GNSS, LEO, and 5G signal processing as well as reporting directly to the PM in a horizontally fashioned organogram.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop GNSS signal processing algorithms for ultra low positioning, combating spoofing attacks, exploiting the use of multi-antennas at the user terminal, providing multi-constellation and multi-frequency positioning, and/or taking advantage of LEO and 5G signals to assist the GNSS positioning engine.
  • Implement the developed algorithms in Matlab/C/C++ for their integration into the cloud/edge positioning platform.
  • Assess key performance indicators and perform statistical analyses to benchmark different algorithm implementations and/or optimizations.

 

PROGRESS ROADMAP:

  • In 2 weeks: you will get an overview of the system architecture and Loctio’s DSP algorithms.

There is a unique opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our highly skilled and motivated company, within the System Team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and report data from test equipment (spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) in both automated and manual ways.
  • Perform testing and prepare the relevant documentation for products being evaluated in the Lab. These products will be – but not limited to – WiFi and Bluetooth modules.
  • Post-process the test results in an efficient and detailed way, through advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Understand and potentially participate in the design of test fixtures for RF and system characterization, verification and validation.
  • Organize and setup lab procedures, such as, lab inventory, new test instrumentation needs, internal Wiki maintenance etc.
  • Work closely with other teams besides the System team, such as the Digital and analog teams, to understand their test requirements and execute test characterisation plans.
  • Build/modify/create test scripts for in-house applications including testing for data extraction, data capturing, and performance.

 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • HND or University degree in Engineering, Physics or other related discipline with strong emphasis on electronics
  • Great attention to detail and work quality
