HETiA participated in the “Career Day 2023” of the University of Peloponnese, on the 9th of June, 2023

 

 

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the University of Peloponnese, organized a Career Day on the 9th of June, 2023, at the Great Amphitheater of the campus, located in Koukouli.

The Career Day, included a full program of speeches and panels, an exhibition with booths of 17 companies and agencies and meetings of students and graduates with company representatives, who provided information on open jobs and internships, gathering resumes of potential candidates. A total of about 100 students and graduates and more than 50 exhibiting speakers attended the event.

 

 

HETiA participated in the first session of the event on “Interface with the working market: Opportunities and steps” and was represented from Mr. John Kikidis (HETiA BoD member). HETiA revealed the great prospects of the semiconductor industry overall. Fueled by the digital transformation that is taking place in various fields like automotive, wireless communications and the ever-increasing number of connected devices, the semiconductor market is expected to reach one trillion dollars within the next decade. Greece’s semiconductor ecosystem, which was represented in the presentation, is also expanding and there are already a lot of open career opportunities.

HETiA members HDL Design House, Power Factors, Renesas Design Greece, Sunlight and Think Silicon an Applied Materials company was also present at the Career Day with booths, exhibiting informational material and developing discussions with students about their subjects and employment prospects.
