HETiA and tinyML Meetups Partnership

HETiA is pleased to announce its partnership with the tinyML Meetups group of Greece & Cyprus, joining HETiA’s AI, embedded and IoT members’ expertise to the new approach in edge computing that investigates the deployment and training of machine learning models on edge devices.

TinyML is a field of study in machine learning and embedded systems that explores the types of models you can run on small, low-power devices like microcontrollers.

The partnership brings together embedded machine learning applications, hardware, software, and

algorithms. As an intersection of embedded systems and regular machine learning, it demands not just software expertise but also expertise in embedded systems – both of which have significant challenges of their own.

Purpose of tinyML Meetups group:

To spread the word and educate the industry on “tinyML” (broadly defined as machine learning architectures, devices, techniques, tools and approaches capable of performing on-device analytics for a variety of sensing modalities–vision, audio, motion, environmental, human health monitoring etc.) at “mW” or below power range targeting predominately battery-operated devices.

The tinyML meetup group is an informal gathering of researchers and practitioners working on various aspects of machine learning technologies (hardware-algorithms/networks- software-application) at the extreme low-power regime to share latest developments in this fast-growing field and promote collaborations throughout the ecosystem.

A tinyML introduction webinar will be announced soon!
