HETiA and Enterprise Greece Successfully Co-Organized Greece’s Second National Participation at Electronica 2024

Electronica, the world’s leading trade fair for electronics, returned from November 12th to 15th, 2024, in Messe München, gathering 3,480 exhibitors from over 50 countries and approximately 80,000 visitors across 18 halls. The event showcased cutting-edge components, systems, applications, and solutions that drive developments in fields such as microelectronics, embedded systems, and IoT applications.

For the second consecutive time, HETiA (Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association), in collaboration with Enterprise Greece, organized Greece’s national pavilion, highlighting the country’s innovation and potential in the global electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.

This year, the following Greek companies showcased their innovative products and services: IRIDA LABS, ISD SA (Integrated Systems Development), , and WEASIC. The national pavilion became a hub of activity, hosting numerous visitors, generating high-quality leads, and facilitating both scheduled and impromptu meetings in its dedicated meeting area.

Participants had the opportunity to establish international contacts, gather insights into emerging trends and innovations, initiate collaborative projects, and ultimately help shape the future of electronics.

The Greek delegation was further strengthened by the participation of the new Consul General of Greece in Munich, Mr. Konstantinos Kodelas, who visited the exhibition to meet exhibitors and representatives from Enterprise Greece and HETiA. Accompanying him were Mrs. Rea Tsitsani (Head of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office), Mrs. Maria Mousouraki (Secretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs, B’ Class), and Mr. Georgios Mechteridis (Scientific Associate of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office), who actively engaged with stakeholders to support the national presence.

Statement from HETiA President, Mr. Emmanuel Zervakis

“As HETiA represents the core of the Greek ecosystem for chip design and embedded systems, we are particularly proud to have participated for the second time at Electronica with a national pavilion, building on the success of our first presence. This year’s participation, combined with the recent approval of the Hellenic Chips Competence Center (HCCC), highlighted Greece’s capabilities in microelectronics and allowed us to connect with key stakeholders in the international semiconductor ecosystem. We extend our sincere gratitude to Enterprise Greece for its critical support in co-organizing this mission, which firmly positions Greece on the global semiconductor map and aligns with the European Union’s strategic objectives under the CHIPS ACT.”

The next Electronica is scheduled to take place from November 10th to 13th, 2026, in Messe München, and preparations have already begun to ensure an even larger and stronger Greek presence.
