HETiA webinar: Fireside chat with George Sidiropoulos & Iakovos Stamoulis, of Think Silicon® / Applied Materials®, Athens, 28 May 2020
The Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association – HETiA, following the successful acquisition of its company / member, Think Silicon® by Applied Materials®, organized the HETiA Webinar ” Fireside chat with George Sidiropoulos and Iakovos Stamoulis, of Think Silicon® / Applied Materials® ”.
The webinar took place on Thursday, May 28, 2020 and hosted a discussion with the company’s representatives, Mr. George Sidiropoulos and Mr. Iakovos Stamoulis, on their success story during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as other current issues of interest to HETiA members.
The representatives of Think Silicon® shared with the other members of HETiA, the history and development of their company, starting its course in 2007. After many years of effort, they managed to receive an investment from Metavallon VC in 2019, with the aim of further developing new innovative products and consolidating customers in North America, Asia and Europe. Then in 2020 and during the COVID-19 crisis, they managed to acquire Think Silicon from Applied Materials®. Today the company is entering a new development plan in Greece that includes the hiring of specialized engineers and partnerships with other companies.
Think Silicon® pointed out, that when the company started its first steps, received great support from HETiA and they are very satisfied that they now belong to the impressive history of the success stories of companies / members of the Association, which has significant acquisitions such as ( Helic from Ansys, Antcor from U-blox, Bytemobile from Citrix, Sitel Semiconductor from Dialog Semiconductor, Elxys Innovations from Ceragon Networks…) and successful investments from VC’s.
