INSIGHIO joins HETiA
5 July 2024: INSIGHIO became a Member of the Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (HETiA), thus joining forces with top high-tech companies from this region to help the Digital industrial ecosystem (microelectronics, embedded systems, digital technologies, IoT) of South-Eastern Europe evolve and become a versatile & credible partner in the global market.
INSIGHIO is a bootstrapped technology startup founded in 2021 envisioning to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge IoT technologies by companies, organizations and research institutions of different sizes and across various sectors. The company has introduced insigh.io, a fully managed and hardware-enabled IoT service, simplifying and cutting costs and time to develop, pilot and upscale new IoT projects from scratch, eventually removing the barriers to enter the market. The service is built around in-house developed technologies, including:
- The IoT connector, a versatile generic board which encapsulates the vast majority of hardware-related IoT project requirements which can be easily expanded to support advanced sensing and connectivity use-cases with the use of an open-source firmware.
- The IoT platform, a Cloud-based software stack that offers a lean but complete device and management framework, allowing the end-user to have full control of the devices fleet remotely and the generated sensing information.
During the first 3 years of operation the company has commercially applied its technology to different applications coming from different sectors:
- Smart Weighing, for waste management and beehives monitoring.
- Precision Agriculture for obtaining meteorological data and tuning field spraying.
- Smart Buildings for optimizing workplace management and minimizing resources usage.
- Connected Machinery, for controlling remote machines and get usage data.
In addition to these projects the company has been actively engaged into competitive R&D projects, with the aim of expanding its applications portfolio. Through these projects it has developed a series of new prototypes for critical infrastructures monitoring like the road network, mines and the energy grid. From 2022 to 2024 it was a member of ESA BIC GREECE, extending its product with satellite connectivity capabilities, enabling its deployment on every spot in the planet. The main competences of the team are hardware design and software development for embedded, app and Cloud environments.
