22.06.2026 - SYNOPSYS - SENIOR CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER - AI SECURITY

synopsys-logo-color-rgb (1)
SENIOR CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER – AI SECURITY – REFERENCE: ansys_005

We Are:

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are:

You have spent years securing systems that matter, and now you are watching AI reshape the entire threat landscape in real time. You know that protecting AI platforms is not just about securing APIs or cloud infrastructure. It is about understanding how LLMs can leak data through prompts, how agents can be manipulated, and how a single misconfigured gateway can expose an entire enterprise AI ecosystem. You have built security controls that actually work under production load, not just in proof-of-concept demos.

You are the kind of engineer who can evaluate a new AI security vendor, cut through the marketing, and figure out in two hours whether their tool will integrate with your stack or create more problems than it solves. You do not wait for perfect documentation. You spin up a test environment, script the integration, and prove it works before you bring it to the architecture review.

Building from scratch does not intimidate you. You have done it before, defining security architecture when there was none, selecting tools when the category barely existed, and making decisions that will shape how security works for years. You think in layers. Prompt guardrails, AI firewalls, DLP for model outputs, posture management across multi-cloud AI environments. You know where each control fits and when to push back if a product team wants to skip one. At Synopsys, you will help build the AI security foundation that protects how 30,000 people work and the AI-enabled products we ship to customers who design the world’s semiconductors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Define and build AI security architecture across enterprise AI platforms and AI-enabled products, establishing controls where none exist today
  • Evaluate, select, and onboard AI Security Posture Management tools, AI gateways, AI firewalls, and guardrail platforms for deployment across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Integrate prompt guardrails and AI DLP controls directly into AI applications and RAG pipelines to prevent data leakage and prompt injection before they reach production
  • Design and deploy monitoring and detection capabilities that surface AI-specific threats such as model misuse, jailbreaks, and unauthorized data exposure
  • Conduct AI red-teaming exercises to identify vulnerabilities in LLMs, agents, APIs, and AI-enabled products, then build controls to mitigate what you find
  • Automate AI security workflows, tool integrations, and monitoring using Python scripting and security orchestration platforms
  • Partner with AI architects, AI engineers, and product teams across the US and Greece to embed security into AI development from the start

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Build the AI security foundation for a newly formed team, defining the architecture and controls that will protect AI across the enterprise
  • Prevent data leakage, prompt injection, and model exploitation across AI products that customers depend on before these threats become incidents
  • Enable secure AI adoption at scale by establishing guardrails that let teams move quickly without creating vulnerabilities
  • Shape tool selection and vendor strategy for AI security, making decisions that will define the security stack for years
  • Establish monitoring and detection capabilities that give the security team visibility into AI risks they cannot see today
  • Reduce time to secure AI features by building reusable security patterns and automation that other teams can adopt
  • Influence AI security strategy across Synopsys as the company scales its use of AI internally and in customer-facing products

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, application security, or related fields
  • 3+ years securing cloud-native platforms and SaaS environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 2+ years of direct experience securing AI systems, including work with AI Security Posture Management tools, AI gateways, AI firewalls, or AI DLP platforms
  • Hands-on experience protecting AI/ML systems such as LLMs, agents, APIs, and RAG pipelines in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python for security automation, scripting integrations, and building security workflows
  • Demonstrated experience leading security initiatives end-to-end with minimal supervision, from architecture and tool selection through deployment and operations
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and third-party vendors to evaluate, onboard, and operationalize.
  • Experience building security programs from the ground up is a strong plus.
  • Industry certification such as Security+, CEH, AWS/Azure security, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications

Who You Are:

  • You can evaluate a new AI security vendor, ask the right technical questions, and determine in one meeting whether their product will actually solve your problem or just add noise to your stack
  • You have built security controls that survive contact with real users and real production workloads, not just lab environments, and you know how to iterate when the first version does not quite fit
  • You are comfortable making architectural decisions with incomplete information, documenting your reasoning, and adjusting as you learn more
  • You know how to explain a complex AI security risk to a product manager in two sentences without losing the technical nuance that matters
  • You push back when a team wants to deploy an AI feature without the right guardrails, and you can articulate why the risk is not worth the speed
  • You stay current on AI security threats, not because it is trendy, but because you know the attack surface is evolving faster than most security teams can keep up, and you want to be ahead of it

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will join a newly formed AI Security team of four people, currently based in the US, including an AI Architect, AI Engineers, and AI Security Managers. You will report to a Cyber Security Senior Architect. This role is part of the team’s expansion into Greece, and you will work closely with an additional AI Automation Engineer who will join the Athens team. The team operates in a distributed environment across Athens and the US, and you will work hybrid from the Athens office. The team is in build mode, defining AI security architecture, selecting tools, and establishing the security foundation for AI across the enterprise and in products.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.

22.06.2026 - SYNOPSYS - TEST ENGINEER, ELECTROMAGNETIC SIMULATION TOOLS

synopsys-logo-color-rgb (1)
TEST ENGINEER, ELECTROMAGNETIC SIMULATION TOOLS – REFERENCE: ansys_002

You Are:

You are the kind of engineer who sees quality as something you build into a product, not something you check for at the end. Your experience with high-frequency electronics, whether RF circuits, antenna design, or signal integrity analysis, gives you the technical depth to evaluate whether simulation results actually make sense. You know when an S-parameter plot looks suspicious or when a field distribution does not match the physics, and you ask the questions that prevent those issues from reaching customers. Testing is not just a checklist for you. You design validation strategies that stress the system in ways users will, and in ways they should not. You write automation that scales, using Python to build test frameworks that run across platforms, from local Linux boxes to cloud compute clusters. You have worked with engineering software before, maybe CAE tools, maybe EDA platforms, and you understand the difference between a feature that works in isolation and one that holds up in a real engineering workflow with large datasets, tight deadlines, and complex dependencies. Collaboration comes naturally. You work alongside developers to understand what changed and why, and you translate test results into actionable feedback that moves the product forward. At Synopsys, you will validate tools that power the next generation of wireless systems, high-speed electronics, and semiconductor innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and execute test strategies that validate electromagnetic simulation software across functional, performance, and accuracy dimensions
  • Write automated test frameworks in Python that run reliably across Windows, Linux, cloud platforms, and distributed compute environments
  • Validate new features and enhancements in tools like Ansys HFSS and HFSS 3D Layout, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and customer needs
  • Develop detailed test plans, document results, and manage defect tracking from discovery through resolution
  • Work directly with software developers to reproduce issues, clarify requirements, and verify fixes before release
  • Run regression suites, performance benchmarks, and application-level tests to ensure stability across product updates
  • Approve releases based on test coverage, defect status, and quality metrics, ensuring products are ready for customer deployment

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Ensure that engineers designing 5G antennas, automotive radar, and high-speed interconnects can trust the simulation results they depend on
  • Prevent costly customer escalations by catching defects before they reach production, protecting both product reputation and customer relationships
  • Enable faster development cycles by building automation that gives developers immediate feedback on code changes
  • Improve product robustness by designing tests that uncover edge cases and failure modes that manual testing would miss
  • Strengthen the feedback loop between QA and development, helping the team ship higher-quality software with every release
  • Support Synopsys’ position as the go-to provider of electromagnetic simulation tools that perform under real engineering pressure
  • Contribute to a culture of quality within the Electronics, Semiconductor and Optics Business Unit, where verification is a shared responsibility

What You’ll Need:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 1+ year of experience
  • Solid foundation in high-frequency electronics, including areas like RF/microwave design, antennas, signal integrity, or electromagnetic compatibility
  • Strong programming skills in Python for test automation, scripting, and data processing
  • Demonstrated experience with software testing practices including regression testing, functional validation, and performance analysis
  • Comfort working across multiple platforms: Windows, Linux, virtual environments, compute clusters, and cloud infrastructure
  • Background with engineering software tools, particularly EDA or CAE applications; familiarity with Ansys HFSS is highly valued
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts with a focus on reliability and long-term sustainability

Who You Are:

  • You can take a vague bug report and turn it into a reproducible test case that a developer can fix in one iteration
  • You explain test results and quality risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adjusting your message to the audience
  • You work effectively with remote teams, coordinating across time zones to keep testing and development moving without bottlenecks
  • You spot opportunities to improve test coverage or streamline processes, and you take the initiative to implement them
  • You learn new technologies and tools quickly, whether that is a new simulation engine, a cloud platform, or an updated test framework
  • You stay focused on what matters, prioritizing the tests that protect customer value over those that just inflate coverage numbers

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will join the Electronics, Semiconductor and Optics Business Unit, a team dedicated to advancing industry-leading products for electromagnetic simulation and analysis. The team includes software developers, technical specialists, and verification engineers working together to deliver tools that enable customers to design and optimize complex electronic systems. Collaboration is core to how the team operates, with verification engineers working closely with developers to ensure quality is built in from the start, not bolted on at the end.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
