HETiA participated with a special panel on “Investing in the Future of Semiconductors: Greece’s 100 Million Challenge” in the framework of the “14th Panorama of Entrepreneurship & Career Development 2024“, at the Megaron Concert Hall. The panel took place on Friday March 29, 2024, between 17:30 pm and 19:00 pm.
Panorama of Entrepreneurship & Career Development, is the largest entrepreneurship multi-conference in Greece, connecting young people and businesses, start-up entrepreneurship, career guidance, business development and innovation.
Having a dual nature, being at the same time a multi-conference and Career Days, this year the Panorama hosted 250+ leading speakers, from the largest companies operating in Greece and beyond, connecting the labor market with young people at the Megaro Conference Center of Athens.

HETiA panel “Microchip: Come and work in a trillion-dollar industry”
At Panorama 2024, HETiA spearheaded discussions on Greece’s current standing in the semiconductor sector and identified geopolitical prospects for the years ahead. Panelists emphasized the need for strategic initiatives to foster semiconductor manufacturing in Greece, leveraging significant investments required for large-scale foundries. Additionally, discussions delved into available financial tools, governmental support, and EU initiatives, aiming to propel Greece’s semiconductor industry forward.
Highlighting the importance of collaboration, HETiA underscored the challenges and opportunities for startups and SMEs in partnering with established players within the semiconductor ecosystem. Moreover, the association shed light on the skills and education necessary for Greek talents to excel in the semiconductor sector, addressing the critical role of universities and vocational training institutions.
The conversation was warmly received and created awareness and anticipation for existing and future career opportunities.
