HETiA Highlights Greece’s Semiconductor Strategy on Naftemporiki TV
Dr. Emmanuel Zervakis, President of Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (HETiA) and the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre (HCCC), participated in the television programme In Business, hosted by Maria Smylidou, on Naftemporiki TV.
During the discussion, Dr. Zervakis highlighted the strategic importance of semiconductors and microchips for Europe’s technological sovereignty and economic resilience, while providing an overview of the current state and prospects of the Greek semiconductor ecosystem.

Particular emphasis was placed on the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between HETiA and the Ministry of Development, underlining its role in strengthening coordination between public policy and the private sector, as well as on key technology-driven sectors with strong potential to attract international investment to Greece.
The discussion also addressed the policy priorities required for Greece to fully leverage emerging opportunities in the semiconductor value chain, alongside the critical technologies shaping Europe’s long-term competitiveness, innovation capacity, and strategic resilience.
