HETiA organises the 2nd edition of the “Emerging Tech Forum” 07.12.2022, Athens
The HETiA Forum is the ecosystem’s gathering event, targeting to create awareness for its members to governmental actors and society, discuss developments and challenges and finally propose ideas on capitalisation of Greece’s competitive advantages in the global technological landscape. The forum is implemented with keynote speeches and thematic panels with governmental, academic and industrial representatives.
The 2022 edition will take place on the 7th of December 2022 at Grande Bretagne Hotel in Athens.
This year we will focus on the semiconductor supply chain security, as semiconductors (or chips) are the engines of the digital transition with their production relying on complex and vulnerable global supply chains. Against the backdrop of global chip shortages, in February 2022 the Commission presented a proposal for an EU chips act aimed at reinforcing the whole EU chips value chain. We will discuss Greece’s placement opportunity.
We will also discuss how digital twins – digital replicas of physical entities such as devices, people, processes, or systems – help businesses make model-driven decisions or how Greek Smart Cities, Mobility and Infrastructures are making our daily living easier while not compromising privacy. Other topics will focus on 5G developments, edge intelligence and the post Covid-19 workforce.
The forum will be hailed by the Ministers of Development and Digital Governance and we will be joined by distinguished speakers from the European Commission, the industry and academia.
