HETiA participated @University of Ioannina, Distinguished Online Lectures – Athens, April 9, 2021
Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association – HETiA, participated with great success at the Distinguished Online Lectures of University of Ioannina, that was held online on April 9, 2021.
The School of Engineering has organized online Lectures for Spring 2021. The lectures are given by distinguished scientists and entrepreneurs are covering a broad range of engineering topics, which however will be accessible to a wider audience through the YouTube channel of the University of Ioannina.
This Online Lectures series will be held from March to middle May, and every lecture is scheduled on a Friday.
During the session of Friday April 9 2021, the President of HETIA, Dr. Emmanuel Zervakis, presented HETiA’s activities and members and proceed with a presentation for “Challenges of Developing MEMS Sensors as Part of an IoT Application”.
The HETiA President, Dr. Emmanuel Zervakis, presenting “Challenges of Developing MEMS Sensors as Part of an IoT Application”
During the presentation, a typical Internet of Things application was presented. Then, it focused on the description of a typical edge device as part of the overall architecture. Developing an edge device includes development of the sensor head, the processing unit, the wireless module and the power module. The challenges faced by the engineer while developing the edge device and especially the sensor head.
HETIA’s participation, was a great success as at the session attended a significant number of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Ioannina, which showed particular interest in the Association and its members.
