Celebrating 20 years since its founding in 2005, HETiA proudly presents the 5th edition of its flagship Emerging Tech Forum – the definitive gathering of Greece’s deep tech community. This milestone event will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the prestigious Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens.
This year’s Forum not only continues the evolution of the event itself but also strengthens Greece’s positioning as a strategic player in Europe’s technology landscape.
Forum Themes and Highlights
The 2025 Forum will explore the most cutting-edge areas of deep tech, with a focus on how Greece can strategically position itself within the European and global technology ecosystem. Key themes this year include the transformative potential of semiconductors, Edge and Generative AI, and next-generation secure networks, supported by the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre’s national action plan.
The Forum will also shine a spotlight on Defense and Space technologies, two sectors where innovation can have a profound impact on both national and international levels. Participants will explore how advanced semiconductors, AI, robotics, and secure communication networks are driving next-generation defense systems, strengthening national security capabilities, and creating opportunities for Greece within the European and NATO defense ecosystems.
Equally, developments in Space technologies—including satellite communications, Earth observation, and space robotics—will be examined for their potential to enhance Greece’s emerging space ecosystem and contribute to European and global missions. About the Forum:
The Emerging Tech Forum aims to raise awareness of HETiA members among government officials and the public, discuss developments and challenges and propose strategies to leverage Greece’s competitive advantages in the global technology sector. The 4th edition of the forum coincides with the launch of the Greek semiconductor ecosystem efforts within the EU Chips Act. The Forum, held annually in Athens, features keynote speeches and thematic panels with representatives from the European Commission, government, academia, and industry, playing a central role in generating proposals and fostering public discussion.
