SOLIDKOSMOS joins HETiA
20/03/2026: SOLIDKOSMOS became a Member of HETiA, joining forces with leading high-tech companies to aid the development and testing of dependable computing systems for critical systems and infrastructure.
SOLIDKOSMOS products and services enable the use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) computing devices, particularly Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), in applications with high dependability requirements.
SOLIDKOSMOS competences are:
- Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for fault emulation within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) verification workflows to enable automated fault injection test campaigns
- RTL IP cores design services for fault-tolerant architectures on FPGAs, including HW/SW co-design for System-on-Chip (SoC) designs.
- Radiation testing services (heavy ions, protons, neutrons) for the characterisation of Single Event Effects (SEEs) and Total Ionising Dose (TID)
- Dependability engineering services, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies development
About SOLIDKOSMOS:
SOLIDKOSMOS S.A. is a deep-tech spin-off from the University of Piraeus, Embedded Systems Laboratory (ESLab), and a incubate of the European Space Agency (ESA) business incubation centre in Greece.
The company was founded in 2024 by three engineers and academics, each with more than 15 years of experience in fault-tolerant computing and embedded FPGA systems, with participation in multiple ESA, EU, and national projects.
